July 26, 2007-Baltimore, MD-Catalogixx LLC was awarded a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 24th for its direct mail and catalog customization software system. Catalogixx launches a new era in marketing by translating the “personal shopper” concept to direct marketing, allowing the production of sales and promotional materials with streamlined content and advanced digital quality.

The Catalogixx system is the first and only of its kind, utilizing artificial intelligence to connect with a company’s customer database, identifying purchase patterns and personal preferences. This information is then matched to the company’s product line or a specific message. The result is direct mail with products, headlines, copy, and prices specifically selected for each individual recipient.

Catalogixx software is capable of customizing direct mail postcards, announcements, catalogue covers and inserts, as well as complete catalogues in electronic or print formats. In addition to its use for retail and wholesale establishments, it can be usefel for automobile dealerships, non-profit organizations, political campaigns and real estate agencies. The system has proven to exponentially raise direct mail response rates, as the pieces connect with recipients and are less likely to be overlooked or thrown away.

Existing Catalogixx customers include AT&T and Leeds. The Catalogixx software system is especially effective for retail and catalog companies speaking to the top one to five percent of their customers and those who buy repeatedly and in large quantities.

Catalogixx was founded in January, 2005 as a joint venture of Lexigraph and VPiColor. Lexigraph, founded in 1996 and owned by Todd Kueney, Jr., has been a pioneer in the delivery of effective, efficient and profitable PDF based workflow solutions, using personalization and digital printing technologies.

VPiColor was started in 2002 by Ron Agronin and Sid Bursten. The company was created to fill the needs of a distributor of toys for handicapped children, looking to generate personalized catalogs featuring recommendations for each customer’s individual needs. The fourth partner is Todd Sibel, founder of Hook Me Up Marketing, who brings his marketing expertise to the mix.

Catalogixx CEO Sid Bursten touts the system as one which will “revolutionize how companies speak to their clients and lauch marketing as we know it into a new era.”
