June 03, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Education News
Steamboat Springs, CO. Interested in pursuing a career in erosion control? The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) can help you get started. As erosion due to man-made soil disturbances grows, so does the need for professionals who are trained to control erosion and its by-product – sediment.

Each year IECA offers international student scholarships to bring students from around the world to the annual IECA conference and expo. Scholarships cover transportation to and from the conference, a 2-day conference registration, hotel accommodations, a stipend for food, and a 2006 IECA student membership.

Students will be given the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the industry, meet key professionals in their field, and attend the world's largest erosion and sediment control expo. IECA hopes this will increase the students' interest and provide insight into career opportunities available within the erosion and sediment control community.

This scholarship is open to all graduate and undergraduate students who are studying a related field at a recognized university, college, or technical school in a country outside the United States. Full details can be found on the IECA web site at www.ieca.org.

Apply now! Deadline is July 1st.
