San Bruno, CA, July 26, 2007 YA Entertainment LLC, a home entertainment company and exclusive licensee and publisher of popular Korean TV drama programming with English subtitles in North America is pleased to announce the DVD release of Turning Gate - a modern day story that deals with the complicated world of relationships and the emotional baggage that carries through our romantic entanglements. This highly acclaimed Korean feature film stars popular actor Kim Sang Kyung (Lawyers, Takes of Cinema) and Chu Sang-Mi (Lawyers, Yellow Handkerchief).

With a deeply thought-out storyline combined with a novelistic approach to its characters – Turning Gate breaks free from traditional Korean film and develops a realistic view of love and relationships. Originally released in theaters in 2001, Turning Gate dives into the emotional turmoil of breakups and the inevitable lingering of regrets that follow.

Noted by the New York Times as “A Moody, elliptical reflection on missed romantic opportunities and fate” and quoted as “South Korea’s prose poet of contemporary ennui“” by Variety, Turning Gate is quickly leading Korean film to the forefront of Asian cinema. Turning Gate also received praise during its initial debut at the 40th New York Film Festival, the 27th Toronto International Film Festival and the 32nd Rotterdam International Film Festival.

YA Entertainment's Special Edition DVD release of Turning Gate features all 116 minutes in an anamorphic widescreen presentation, presented in the original Korean language with English subtitles. The DVD also includes extra features such as the “Original Trailer”, the “Making of”, “Movie Highlights” as well as a Sneak Peek of Korean movies Peppermint Candy and Singles.
