Open Door Studios, a new concept in creativity recently opened in Seattle. Open Door Studios provides the space for members to explore their inner artist; they are only limited by their imagination. The space is divided up into a main art area with large windows, a social area with an art library and fireplace, a Photography Darkroom, a dedicated family room, a room for 3D art, including pottery and mosaics, and a small-scale woodworking area. There is also an art library, a retail area, in addition to gallery items throughout the site. A friendly staff of artists can assist or answer any questions that arise, and starting in late summer there will be reasonably priced art classes.

Equipment provided throughout the Studios include five Jack Richeson Academy Organizational Easels, Beseler 23CII-XL and Beseler 23CIII-XL enlargers, a Ci Boss Elite SQ pottery wheel, a Dremel 400 Series XPR Rotary Tool and in late summer a Conrad Multimedia Press C25 with Micrometer Gauge, which prints all mediums including etchings, drypoints, monoprints, engravings, collagraphs, woodcuts, paper plate lithographs, linoleum block prints, and even stone lithography.

Other provided art supplies include drawing boards, light boxes, stencils, compasses, curves, stencils, guides, rulers, perspective tools, T-squares, edgers, and much more.

The Family Room includes a childrens social area and library, in addition to a changing table, rocking chair, and teething rings.
