A custom-made sofa, two chairs and a coffee table from Charlotte-based ClubFurniture.com will be “starring” in Fine Living TV Network’s “Mail Order Makeover” program at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 30.

The show, which appears nationally on cable and satellite, pits a pair of designers against one another in a home decoration makeover challenge. In this contest, ClubFurniture.com’s furniture was the winner.

“Coming up with the right combination of furniture and accessories to satisfy the homeowner can be very difficult, and these designers are put to the test,” according to Fine Living’s website. “Each designer orders their favorite furniture and accessories from mail order catalogs and websites. When the items are delivered, the designers take turns furnishing the room in a way that they hope will satisfy the homeowner’s needs and desires. The homeowner gets to keep the furniture and accessories of the room design they like best.”

“We’re very excited that our custom furniture products are being selected by top designers and recognized on national TV,” said Darrin King, president of ClubFurniture.com. “This began when producers of NBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ contacted us last year and used some of our furniture on their program. Since then the word has spread that our high-quality, contemporary, custom-designed furniture shows well on TV sets, and we’re happy to provide it for appropriate productions. We have other TV deals in the works that we can’t talk about yet.”

ClubFurniture.com was started by brothers Darrin and Jeff King in 1998 and works with several U.S. manufacturers, mostly in North Carolina, to produce customized furniture and sell it online and by phone. Each piece is made to order, giving the customer choices on styles, materials, leather and fabric finishes and other details.
The “Mail Order Makeover” show will feature:
• A Holden style sofa and chairs, contemporary upholstered living room furniture
• A Miles round coffee table, made of wood, with inset glass accents
“In a time when more and more furniture is being made overseas, we’re proud to be showcasing and promoting high-quality, value-priced furniture made in the U.S.A., preserving American jobs and craftsmanship,” said Jeff King, vice president of Marketing for ClubFurniture.com. “We also believe that our business model which allows the customer to choose styles, materials and finishes is an ideal reflection of the Internet model which puts the customer in charge of the process.”
