Self-Published Author Announces Public Availability of
“Words from the Heart” at Lulu.com

TENNESSEE – June 7, 2005 / — D. J. Alling announces publication of Words From The Heart in conjunction with Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.

Words from the Heart is a collection of poetry that was written just as the name suggests, from the heart. The poems are written in words everyone can relate to, no flowery words or hidden meanings, just words that express feelings we have all felt at sometime or another.

The poems in Words from the Heart were written over a span of 15 years. They are more an expression of raw emotion than they are simply poems. The poems in the collection were chosen because some were written by a naïve teenage girl, and the rest were written at different stages of womanhood. These poems express the emotions we all feel but may not be able to put into words.

Words from the Heart is a product of 15 years of poetry writing. D. J. Alling chose to showcase a variety of poems written during both her teen and adult years in order to present a range of emotion and expression. She came to Lulu because she wanted to be in control of the publishing process and found Lulu’s print-on-demand tools to be fast, easy and, most importantly, free.

Words from the Heart is available for purchase at www.lulu.com/alling, in a marketplace filled with other unique, and sometimes, downright strange, items.

Alling states that, "The poems in this book were not written with the intent of getting published, they were written to help myself and at times my friends express deep emotions not easily spoken. I had resisted friends and families suggestions to get published because editors generally want to change things around, and these poems aren't so much poetry as they are raw emotions. You just can't change emotions. Then I learned of Lulu. Getting it published and printed through Lulu was perfect for me because I wanted total control and it was a breeze."

“Print-on-demand publishing at Lulu is creating a whole new genre of self-expression—whether it's in the form of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, photography, music or movies," said Henry Hutton, Director of Operations at Lulu. "We're pleased to work with authors like D.J Alling to bring unique and interesting new art forms to light."
