XDS Bolsters Advisory Board with Additions of Key Industry Veterans

(PRLEAP.COM) Durham, NC (August 1, 2007) – XDS, Inc., a privately held company targeting the digital virtualization market, today announced the addition of three industry veterans to its Board of Advisors – Christian Barrios Marchant, Tim Buckley and Arthur Money. These three new members – along with the other industry gurus that make up the company’s Board of Advisors – will be actively involved in providing strategic guidance as XDS continues to gain significant traction in the desktop virtualization market.

Mr. Marchant, Mr. Buckley and Mr. Money join an already strong Board of Advisors that includes Ray DiRussa, former SVP, Global Desktop IT, Bank of America; Glenn Kaufman, Principal, Henry Kaufman & Company; Peter Mannetti, Founder, former CEO, Qwest Wireless; Frank Pinto, former EVP of Global Sales, Sun Microsystems; and Walt Thomas, former CIO, Computer Associates.

During his career, Mr. Marchant served as Senior Vice President and member of the Executive Board for Software AG. He began his professional career in Silicon Valley where he worked for more than seven years at Gould Electronics, Amdahl Fujitsu Group and Apple Computer Corporation. Mr. Marchant also served as Managing Director of Toshiba Information Systems Spain, Managing Director of Nextel Engineering Systems Iberia, and President and Managing Director of Informix Software Iberia and Ascential Software Iberia.

Mr. Buckley is the former Chief Operating Officer for Red Hat. As COO, Mr. Buckley used his insight to accelerate the momentum of open source and expand Red Hat’s worldwide business, service and support operations. Prior to Red Hat, Mr. Buckley was SVP of worldwide sales at Seattle-based Visio Corporation, where he was instrumental in growing the company from a start-up to a public company that was acquired by Microsoft for $1.5 billion. During his 20-plus years working with emerging technology companies, Mr. Buckley has helped launch many other successful start-ups, including Aldus, known for the creation of PageMaker, which was acquired for $525 million and Approach, a PC database company that was sold to Lotus.

Mr. Money served as Chief Information Officer for the US Department of Defense. Mr. Money served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (ASD (C3I)) from 1999 and until 2001. Prior to his Senate confirmation, he served as the Senior Civilian Official, Office of the ASD (C3I). He also served as Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Research, Development and Acquisition, and as CIO for the United States Air Force.

“We are extremely pleased to add three market veterans to our advisory board with the caliber of Christian, Tim and Arthur,” said Lorenzo Mejia, Chairman of the Advisory Board and CFO of XDS. “These appointments add invaluable market experience and expertise to an already strong board. We look forward to continue expanding our foothold within the virtualization market with the collaboration of all of our advisory board members.”
