(PRLEAP.COM) Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church (RFUMC) is hosting a special service next week for survivors of abuse. Those who have survived sexual, physical, emotional or psychological abuse are invited to experience an evening of healing and empowerment. Stop in and participate in this community outreach opportunity with others who have endured these adversities. This Strength in Unity service entitled, "The Common Voices of Abuse Survivors,” takes place on Thursday, August 9th at 7 pm at 4511 N. Hermitage Ave. in Chicago.

The church has a long history of community outreach and support dating back to 1872. They have twelve different fellowship groups that provide companionship, bonding and partnership opportunities. Many neighboring organizations also share their community building to host meetings and performances. In addition, they are members of the Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce.
