NanoComposites CEO Barry Drayson To Speak at Nano Summit 2007 at Texas A&M; Summit Will Feature “Rising Stars of Texas” in Nanotechnology

(PRLEAP.COM) HOUSTON, TX. – August 7, 2007 — NanoComposites, Inc. (NCI), a Houston-based corporation that develops and commercializes nanomaterials, today announced that entrepreneur and CEO Barry Drayson will speak at the Nano Summit 2007 at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center, George Bush Presidential Library and Museum Complex, at Texas A&M University. The Nano Summit will highlight research and technology transfer conducted by “The Rising Stars of Texas” in nanotechnology.

Drayson will deliver a presentation entitled, “Collaborating for the Success of a Disruptive Technology” on Wednesday, August 8, at 8:45 a.m. Drayson will describe how investors, business and science partners collaborate to bring new products to market. He will discuss the factors that foster growth and the challenges faced by nanotechnology companies, with recommendations for how they can be overcome.

Drayson draws from twenty five years’ experience in strategic partnerships and involvement in the growth of four startup companies.

“While nanotech is in its nascent stage, we have sufficient experience to make sound investment decisions,” said Drayson. “Nanotechnology has applications across all industries and can offer significant competitive advantage. If we are to accelerate the development of nanotechnologies, it is vital for federal and state government, venture firms, corporations, research organizations and entrepreneurs to collaborate and create the environment where nanotech companies can grow and successfully commercialize these materials.”
