Libertas Solutions, provider of ‘U Do’ – Ireland’s leading content manager, is pleased to announce that it has been charged with providing Down and Connor Youth Commission with a new website. Youthcom supports parishes in their outreach work with young people, providing an umbrella under which existing youth groups in the diocese can share resources and skills. This provides young people with a fuller picture of possibilities for personal, social and spiritual growth and encourages development and participation in the life of the church. Their new website will enable them to improve how they communicate with young people while reducing ownership costs through the use of U Do.

Youthcom plays an active role in inter-church initiatives through partnership with Youth Link:NI, and in the wider youth service through involvement with the Youth Council NI, Youthnet, Education and Library Boards, the Department of Education and various other civic and political organisations.

Libertas’ Managing Director Steven Byrne said, “We have further developed the products accessibility features, ensuring that clients’ websites can meet the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) standard, which is a legal requirement under the Disability Discrimination Act. This makes sites accessible to a wide range of browser’s and devices.”

U Do, the software that will power the website, is the latest version of the popular Libertas content management solution and benefits from Libertas Solution’s seven years experience in web development. It boasts features that give greater control over how content is presented when published, by separating the content from the design of the website.
