August 08, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
WEST CHESTER, Pa., August 2007 — Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, now offers a new lightweight 1/4” drill that, at 2.64 lbs., weighs only as much as its cord. Offering a no-load speed of 3,950 RPM, the new BE4006 is perfect for drilling small diameter pilot holes in wood or metals, particularly in the sheet metal and wood trim industries.

The BE4006 fits perfectly in the user’s hand and was uniquely designed so that the airflow, as well as any debris resulting from tool use, is directed forward and away from the user. The tool’s speed is infinitely variable from the lowest speed to the maximum with its Variospeed electronic switch, which has lock-on capability.

Metabo’s new BE4006 has a 1/4” capacity in mild steel and a 1/2” capacity in softwood. Its 3.5-amp motor offers a maximum torque of 27 inch-lbs and the drill comes with a Metabo 3/8” keyless 3-jaw chuck. In addition, an accessory joist hanger can be attached to the 400-watt tool, which makes working from a ladder or scaffold safer and keeps the tool within easy reach.
