Non- Profit Organization, 1600 Avenue will host its annual Hip Hop Leadership Conference on the UCLA campus. This three day conference supported by several industry taste makers and celebrities will also include a seminar hosted by Nick Cannon which will educate kids about the do’s and don’t of artist management.

"There are a lot of synergies between Stop Hating and Hip Hop Leaders. We are working together because both organizations are committed to uplifting youth, and bringing the global hip hop community together, we must put an end to hate," states Nick Cannon regarding this weekend’s conference

The Hip Hop Leadership Conference is a unique experience that through hands-on entertainment workshops expose at-risk youth to the inside of the music industry and the technology that drives it. Once 50 at-risk youth and international students check-in to the dorms, the journey begins:

• The at-risk student has direct interaction and instruction from DJs, radio personalities, artists, video directors, producers, business managers, accountants, marketing/A&R reps, engineers, IT professionals, and lawyers
• The Conference serves as the entry point into the year round College Prep and Technology Prep curriculum delivered by 1600 Avenue’s Hip Hop Leaders Program. The Conference for many of the youth is the first step toward achieving a college education and a bright future.
