Chain Breakers Prison Ministry Announces 2007 Conference

(PRLEAP.COM) (PRLEAP.COM) Smyrna, GA August 15, 2007—The Second Annual Prison Ministry Conference of Chain Breakers Unlimited will be held Friday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Sept. 30. The keynote speaker for the event will be James E. Donald, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Corrections.

This year’s conference, entitled “The Pursuit of Happiness,” will present workshops and training by leaders in the areas of prison aftercare, ex-offender re-entry, abstinence and strategies for providing support for the children of incarcerated parents. Cobb County’s CAGE Unit will make a special presentation on youth gang violence.

The conference also will present a women’s gospel choir from one of our state facilities and a series of testimonials from ex-offenders. A highlight of activities on Saturday will be the appearance of The Power Team, a group of world class athletes who will perform exhibitions of power, strength, and speed to provide inspiration and motivation for conference attendees.

The conference will be held at Highpoint Christian Tabernacle, 3269 Old Concord Rd., Smyrna, GA.

Chain Breakers Unlimited is a 501 C-3 nonprofit organization, which places special emphasis on programs such as the children of incarcerated parents, they are also devoted to helping provide resources for housing, training and employment for men and women coming out of the Georgia prison system.
