Voteraleigh.com Launches Social News Website about the City of Raleigh

The owners of RaleighFreePress.com, a local blog about Raleigh, North Carolina, have announced the launch of their newest venture, VoteRaleigh.com.

VoteRaleigh.com is a user-driven social news website that allows its users to control all of the sites content. Registered users submit local news stories and write their own descriptions describing why they are important. Users can then vote on which stories makes it to the front page and comment on almost everything within the site, allowing them to interact with other local users.

"VoteRaleigh.com is centered on empowering our visitors. We allow them to decide what stories are most important and provide an outlet to discuss those stories with other users," said Raleigh Free Press Editor Sammy Beaumont. “We know that we aren’t the first site to take this approach, but we’re different in that we’ve built this site specifically for the people of Raleigh.”
