(PRLEAP.COM) Jarvis Green of Donalsonville, LA, a defensive lineman for the 3-time World Champions New England Patriots, will host the debut event: Jarvis Green Foundation Wine Tasting Gala at Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, MA. The evening will be highlighted by great food from the chefs at Johnson & Wales, a live performance by Ameranouche (www.ameranouche.com), and a silent auction. Proceeds from the gala will benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina and is sponsored by The Topps Company, Inc. and Chris Gasbarro’s Fine Wine & Spirits.

Green, 27, has made an impact in both the New England and Louisiana communities in the five years since he was drafted by the Patriots in 2002. The Patriots organization and CEO Robert Kraft honored Jarvis in 2006 for his work in the community by awarding him the Ron Burton Community Service Award.
