Male Chauvinism is alive and living in New York City

August 15, 2007 New York, New York….According to the results of a recent poll in The Three Tomatoes weekly e-newsletter, male chauvinism is still very much alive. 56% of respondents said yes, it’s just more covert than it use to be, and 44% said yes, and it’s more blatant.

“In our newsletter last week, we mentioned how much we’re enjoying the new cable series Mad Men, and how it’s captured the early 1960’s in NYC, including male chauvinism which was just accepted as the norm back then”, said Cheryl Benton, Founder and Publisher of The Three Tomatoes. “So we thought it would be interesting to ask our readers if male chauvinism still exists, and we were astonished that 100% of respondents said yes. Guess we still have a long way to go.”
