Radcom’s Mighty Mikey's Marchers Prepare to Light the Night

August 17, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
(Hudson, Ohio, USA / August 17, 2007) – For the third year in a row, Radcom, a professional services firm in Hudson, Ohio, will participate in the annual Light the Night walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Mighty Mikey’s Marchers became active in this event in 2005 after then 4 year-old Mikey Dianetti, son of Radcom principals, Bob and Angie Dianetti, was diagnosed with Leukemia. Mikey, who will soon turn 7 years old and is approaching the end of his three year treatment, looks forward to the walk and sees it as an opportunity to help others with Leukemia and other blood diseases by helping to find a cure.

Since 2005, the team has surpassed its goal of $5,000 each year, raising almost $6,500 in 2006, making it one of the top five fund raisers in Northeast Ohio. Last year saw a team record of 21 team members including Radcom staff, family, and friends. This year, we hope to attract more members, and raise even more money to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

This year’s Light the Night walk will take place on October 12 at Lock 3 in Akron, Ohio, and will last from 7:30 until 8:30. Last year’s event in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio had a total of 26 teams and raised $61,000, while Northern Ohio as a whole raised $314,000 with 120 teams. Radcom would like to thank the many generous supporters that have come forward over the past two years and who will continue to come forward as Mighty Mikey’s Marchers continue to participate in this event.
