Corporate University Xchange (CUX) is proud to announce Fortune Magazine and Wharton as sponsors for the 9th Annual Awards Program, and category winners will be featured in Fortune Magazine’s issue, The Top 100 Companies to Work For. The CUX Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning salute corporate and government learning organizations that demonstrate programs and practices that improve employee and business performance.

The awards program recognizes corporate learning organizations that demonstrate performance in the key strategic areas of Alignment, Alliances, Corporate/College Partnerships, Launching, Leadership Development, Learning Technologies, Marketing, and Measurement. Past winners include Boeing, Textron, UBS, Hitachi Data Systems, Caterpillar, Staples and many others. The awards will be presented to winners during the Training 2008 conference in February.

Any corporate learning unit is eligible to participate in the awards program, and both U.S. and international organizations are encouraged to submit entries. Past entrants include representatives from industries such as manufacturing, financial services, transportation, communications, utilities, retail, professional services, healthcare, and government. The deadline for applying is August 31st, 2007.

Companies are encouraged to apply for more than one strategic area. Those that demonstrate Excellence and Innovation in multiple categories will be candidates for the award for “Best Overall Corporate University,” won jointly by Farmers Insurance and Mars Incorporated in 2007. Entries will be kept in the strictest confidence. With permission from participating organizations, CUX may use information from entries in future newsletter articles and publications, and award winners may be invited to present during CUX webinars.

The judging panel includes past award winners and other industry experts. This year’s judges include representatives from Duke Executive Education, Wharton Executive Education, UBS, Qualcomm, Cisco Systems, Florida Power & Light, and others.

Winners will receive a Corporate University Xchange Excellence Award trophy and recognition through press releases, the Corporate University Journal, Fortune Magazine and other outlets.
