A cover to protect your no claim bonus - only from Amana Takaful Insurance

No Claim Bonus Protection Cover (NCBPC) is a unique add-on offered by Amana Takaful Insurance for their Total Drive motor insurance policy holders. This special cover was first introduced by the company in 2006, and many customers have adapted the same.

Explaining the concept of NCBPC, Amana Takaful Insurances (ATI) Snr Brand Executive Mr. Safwan Hilme mentioned that “No Claim Bonus Protection Cover is offered in addition to the conventional no claim bonus . Normally a no claim bonus entitles a customer to obtain a discount percentage from the renewal premium in the event of no claims during the insurance period, where as a NCBPC ensures that even in the event of a claim during the insurance period, the customer is still entitled for the no claim bonus!”

ATI’s objective of offering this special cover is to safeguard the participants valuable no claim bonus. ATI’s Asst. Marketing Manger Aashiq Aminuddin mentioned that “in the year 2005, the police have recorded 43,000 accidents, in addition to thousands of minor accidents. These accidents will deprive the participant of their valuable no claim bonus”. To obtain a No Claim Bonus Protection Cover all the customer has to do is opt for it when requesting for a motor policy from ATI, and the owner is assured of his no claim bonus during the respective policy year. “This way the participant can drive with peace of mind knowing that his no claim bonus is safe & sound”.

Total Drive, is the most preferred motor insurance policy due to its highly acclaimed benefits. Mr. Hilme mentioned that “We currently offer 25% no claim bonus at the end of the first year, which is the highest, offered in Sri Lanka”. In addition ATI has recently established a 24 hour hotline to assist the commencement of Road Side Assistance, which is currently operating within Colombo & Greater Colombo Limits, with the company making provisions for future expansion. “So in the case of an engine failure or a tire puncture, all the customer has to do is call ‘2597430’ our 24 hour hotline and we will arrange the necessary road side assistance. Consequently we can ensure the customer a continuous journey”.

ATI has been also able to break new ground in the cashless repair segment for motor vehicles since the year 2000. Mr. Hilme stressed that “This is a hassle free convenient process for which many customers have highly praised us”. In an event of an accident, the customer only has to give a call to ATI’s 24Hr hotline and inform the place and time of the accident and continue with his or her journey. The customer at his convenience can later choose from a range of affiliated garages and send the vehicle for repairs, and ATI will directly pay the claim to the garage. In the event where the vehicle is unmovable ATI will arrange for a tow truck to remove the vehicle.

Mr. Aminuddin mentioned that “Currently we are looking at providing superior service and benefits to our motor customers. We have arranged many programmes in the near future to do so, bundled with a lot of surprises”
