Hoyt Corkins is just as comfortable at his small farm in Alabama as he is at the poker tables. Any poker table. Hoyt’s Talents range from Texas Hold’em to Omaha to Razz, whatever he is playing he manages to come out on top! It was the Foxwoods WPT event where Hoyt reclaimed his tournament hunger and was left holding all of the poker chips. Hoyt gives a large amount of credit to his father for his poker knowledge and his ability to read his opponents. Growing up Hoyt was tutored by his father in after school poker. As a teenager Hoyt was allowed to sit in on his father’s weekly cash games. There he played little and watched a lot, learning from his father’s strategy and how the other players reacted. This is how Hoyt Corkins acquired his “no fear” style of poker playing. When you look at Hoyt’s statistics it certainly seems his style and techniques work well for him.

Hoyt will now take his talent to new online site PokerHost.com. Players will be able to challenge Corkins at his own tables. He is hosting a $5/$10 NL Hold’em and a $2/$4 Limit Hold’em providing all types of poker play. The poker pro will also be giving poker instruction and tips at PokerHost poker school in the near future. Hoyt is gearing up to represent PokerHost in this year’s WSOP $10,000 Main Event. Look for a final table appearance at the least!
