29 Store "Shop Hop" Challenges Southern California Scrapbookers to a 9 Day Shopping Tour

Southern California, August 30, 2007— 29 Southern California Scrapbook Stores will host an Industry-First, a MEGA Scrapbook Store Shop Hop September 8 – 16, 2007: So Cal Shop Hop, www.socalshophop.com

According to the Craft and Hobby Association, Scrapbooking and Paper Crafting continue to be the strongest categories in America’s hobby industry today, with Independent Scrapbook Retailers providing innovative venues for Scrapbook Enthusiasts to participate in the craft.

The So Cal Shop Hop event is the first of its kind: 29 Scrapbook Stores in Southern California have joined together to plan and host the event, offering discounts and prizes for Scrapbookers who visit participating stores. Select locations will feature goodie bags, make & takes and more.

Scrapbook Enthusiasts will need a So Cal Shop Hop Passport to participate, available from participating stores. The So Cal Shop Hop Passport is a directory to all participating stores, including special store hours, a local map to each store, and a space for the customer to have their Passport stamped when they visit a store. With their Passport, customers may visit participating stores during the event and receive a 15% discount. If customers wear their So Cal Shop Hop T-Shirt or bring their So Cal Shop Hop Tote Bag during the event, they will receive an additional 5% discount.

Prizes range from a $50 gift certificate from each store to a 3 Day Scrapbook Cruise on the Royal Caribbean to be awarded through random drawings based on the number of stores visited. To become eligible for prizes, customers must visit a certain number of stores and have their Passport stamped.
