Description: Professional travel writer on assignment are invited to step off the beaten path back in time to a Tulum of old, for a four night getaway to experience the new cabanas at La Zebra Cantina & Cabanas. Editors also welcome.

All nine rooms reflect the property’s jungle-chic, organic vibe with an eclectic contrast of tongue-in-cheek humor and home-grown natural comfort hand-crafted from the elements. Home-cooked, traditional cuisine is on the menu at the Mexican-style cantina. And on tap at the cantina’s bar are dozens of the finest tequila, fresh juices and the house specialty, fruity, tropical margaritas. All-day pit roasts every Sunday serve up the delectable smoky flavors straight from the grill with salsa dancing to live fusion Latin music.

From Thursdays to Sundays, La Zebra’s round hardwood deck on the beach plays host to sizzling complimentary salsa lessons. La Zebra is ideal for travelers seeking an authentic Mexican beach lifestyle set amid the natural beauty of Tulum. It features nine renovated cabanas set in the tropical jungle, with sea view and right on the beach linked together by white sand pathways that also lead to the cantina and tequila bar, which serve fresh, traditional recipes with a focus on the fiery flavors of the grill.

Journalists are encouraged to visit Tulum and La Zebra at their own leisure throughout the year and submit their assignment letters as they receive them. Since interests and story focuses vary, no set itinerary accompanies the press trip – writers explore on their own, at their own pace to cater to unique interests, publication focus and story angles. Discover personal experiences and make the trip one that you can write about again and again.
