Shackelford, Melton & McKinley Adds New Partner

(PRLEAP.COM) DALLAS – Shackelford, Melton & McKinley, LLP, is pleased to announce that Daryl K. Washington has joined the Dallas firm as a partner. Mr. Washington’s practice will focus on commercial and securities litigation, as well as sports and entertainment law.

“We could not be more excited to have Daryl join our firm,” said John Shackelford, a founding partner of the firm. “He is an exceptional litigator, and he brings tremendous talent and expertise to our clients.”

Mr. Washington comes to the firm from the Dallas office of Godwin Pappas Ronquillo LLP, where he practiced in the Securities and Commercial Litigation section. Prior to that, he founded the Law Office of Daryl K. Washington, where he concentrated on litigation.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Washington spent nearly a decade as an internal auditor for several corporations, including senior positions at Zale Corporation and Burlington Northern Railroad Corporation.

Mr. Washington earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Grambling State University, and his law degree from the Southern University Law Center. He currently is completing his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Dallas.
