14 Store "Shop Hop" Challenges Scrapbookers to a 15 Day International Shopping Tour – Paper Crafting Across the Border

(PRLEAP.COM) Buffalo, New York, September 6, 2007 — 14 Scrapbook and Rubber Stamp Stores in New York, United States and Ontario, Canada, will host an Industry-First: an International Scrapbook and Rubber Stamp Store Shop Hop September 12 – 26, 2007: Can Am Shop Hop, www.canamshophop.com

According to the Craft and Hobby Association, Scrapbooking and Paper Crafting continue to be the strongest categories in America’s hobby industry today, with Independent Scrapbook Retailers providing innovative venues for Scrapbook Enthusiasts to participate in the craft.

The Can Am Shop Hop event is the first of its kind: 14 Scrapbook and Rubber Stamp Stores in New York and Ontario have joined together to plan and host the event, offering discounts and prizes for Scrapbookers who visit participating stores. Select locations will feature goodie bags, make & takes and more.

Scrapbook Enthusiasts will need a Can Am Shop Hop Passport to participate, available from participating stores. The Can Am Shop Hop Passport is a directory to all participating stores, including special store hours, a local map to each store, and a space for the customer to have their Passport stamped when they visit a store. With their Passport, customers may visit participating stores during the event and receive a 15% discount.

Prizes range from a $50 gift certificate from each store to a Gift Basket from Tinkering Ink to be awarded through random drawings based on the number of stores visited. To become eligible for prizes, customers must visit a certain number of stores and have their Passport stamped.
