A new book on the Kennedy Assassination

June 2005, Drogheda, Ireland

However unlikely it might seem, a local subsidiary of an international publishing company, is set to publish a book that could blow the lid off the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas.

Trafford Publishing (Europe) Ltd. is currently attracting attention from the media regarding a book entitled 'Files on JFK', now in production and due for release this summer. The author, Wim Dankbaar from Holland, claims that the book contains a detailed interview with the hitman who fired the fatal bullet killing President John F. Kennedy. He also claims to have irrefutable evidence, including the testimony of numerous others to further corroborate his information. The book flatly contradicts the findings of the Warren Commission, which was the official American Government enquiry that concluded Lee Harvey Oswald was the only shooter in Dealey Plaza on the day that changed America forever in a split second. Polls show that 80 per cent of all Americans don't accept the findings of the Warren Commission. They believe that Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA in collaboration with the Mafia.

This JFK conspiracy theory has resulted in thousands of books being published on the subject in the past forty years, but none of those books have been able to name the shooters, let alone interviewing them. But this new book purports to have located the man who fired the actual shot depicted on the famous Zapruder movie camera film used in the Oliver Stone movie, JFK.

Mr. Dankbaar names the shooter as James Files. Based on a tip from an FBI agent in 1922, Files was tracked down by a private investigator, named Joe West. Files, who was serving time for attempted murder of an Illinois police officer, was initially refusing to talk. But slowly and meticulously, West established a relationship with Files. Through months of personal visits and detailed correspondence, Files began to reveal his participation in the JFK assassination.

Files was nearing a full confession when West became ill and suddenly passed away in 1993. It took 13 months after Joe West’s death, but on March 22, 1994, associates of West’s taped an interview with Files. It was during this interview that James Files first confessed to being the shooter on the grassy knoll in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963, that it was he who delivered the final, fatal shot to JFK’s right temple. He also implicated organized crime members Charles Nicoletti, Johnny Roselli and Sam Giancana, who all had been murdered in the 1970s.

Convinced by the veracity of Files, the author of Files on JFK, has made it his calling to continue the investigation of Joe West. In this quest he recieved the assistance of a number of retired FBI agents. This has not only corroborated James Files but also led to new discoveries, one of which is the presence on Dealey Plaza of Luis Posada Carriles, the anti-Castro terrorist that is currently in the news for his asylum request in the United States.

Although James Files, who is disgusted with the discreditation of his story, had vouched to never be interviewed again, Dankbaar finally managed, through months of persuading, to change his mind. This resulted in a 3 hour video-interview that was taped on november 19, 2003. It will be bundled on DVD with the book.

Tom Reilly of Trafford Publishing said, 'The book was rejected by numerous conventional publishers in the USA. And a documentary on the subject was mysteriously withdrawn before it could be shown on American TV. When asked why the book was being published in Drogheda, Mr. Reilly said, 'when the author understood that Trafford's unique policy was not to assess his book, but simply to provide him with a vehicle to publish it, he was relieved that there was no red tape or evaluation process. On-demand publishing takes away the role of 'gatekeeping' by US corporate media and it facilitates all types of books to be published, even if the CIA don't want them to be. My client claims that his issue is no longer finding the truth, but rather putting it in front of a large audience. I am confident that we can solve this problem, as those who have seen the content and the DVD, agree that it is dynamyte. And that includes myself."
