Chaos Artworks, the UK’s most innovative new art studio, launches its new collection in Wolverhampton this week – and you’re invited.
The studio, now almost two years old, is the brainchild of local artist Steve Burrows, who is proud to present his latest collection, ‘Red Shift’ - selected works of modern art designed to awe and inspire.
Steve’s work is anything but ordinary: utilising everything from 12" vinyl to acrylics and spray paint, the look is eclectic, vibrant and thought-provoking, and his latest pieces are shown off to perfection in the setting of the Quadrant Lounge.
"With ‘Red Shift’ I wanted to present as diverse a range of work as possible," says Burrows. "My biggest problem is finding the time to keep up with all of the ideas I come up with: this exhibition is just a small sample of the work Chaos Artworks has been producing over the past few years, but hopefully it will give people some idea of what we’re about, and what we’re capable of."
At the moment, there seems to be no limit to what this small, private studio is capable of. From a modest start, with only one painting (which Burrows created to fill a blank wall in his new home), the studio has grown beyond all recognition, attracting commissions from all over the world.
‘Red Shift’ is a collection of eleven different pieces of art, which will be on show at the Quadrant Lounge until the end of July. The launch event starts at 7pm on Thursday, June 16th at Quadrant Lounge, 25/27 Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton. Photo and interview opportunities are available with Steve Burrows throughout the evening.
