It’s not always easy to know the right way to dress according to weather conditions. That’s why Troll uses high-tech materials in combination with wool, which has a unique ability to regulate body heat without adding bulk and ensuring freedom of movement.

This is not the wool your grandmother knitted your sweater with that was two sizes too big and felt like straw against your skin. The Merino wool that is used in Troll’s product is soft and does not itch. It also outperforms synthetic fabrics in warmth, breathability and flame retardance. Wool is also unique in its ability to retain its insulative value even if it gets wet.

Troll has received awards from the Norwegian media for best in design and performance for their “All Weather Suit” and is known throughout Scandinavian as one of the best in the Nordic market. Their clothing is base on design and function for active children 0 to 8 years-old.

Ellingsen founded Troll Company in 1998 using her experience, working with children in Norwegian kindergartens, to design tough and weatherproof clothing for children. The system of wool layers combined with water and windproof shells keep kids warm and dry in the winter. During the fall, spring and when the winter is more of a slushy mudfest, just use less layers with the shell and kids and their clothes will stay dry.

Troll’s products are tested and certified with the Øko-Tex mark. Øko-Tex is a European Union certification that confirms that the product is tested for harmful substances that cause allergies or known carcinogens. This certification is only valid for one year and must be retested each year to retain the ability to display the mark.
