The “Adventures in Excellence Seminar,” offered by Excellence Training, LLC has been certified to award continuing education credits for social workers in Michigan for their very popular program for the first time beginning October 19-21, 2007 Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Adventures in Excellence, created by Johanne Edwards, is a two-weekend intensive training that raises emotional intelligence through experiential training techniques. Over the last 6 years the program has attracted a diverse audience of individuals and some times whole families. The testimonials of participants found at http://www.excellence-training.org speak to the remarkable changes that they have experienced in such things as more meaningful relationships, more confidence with clients and freedom from limiting fears.

When the founder recognized that at least 10% of the participants in the “Adventures in Excellence Seminar” have been social workers or other mental health practitioners she applied to the Michigan Social Worker Continuing Education Collaborative, (See http://www.socialworkcec.com for more information about the accreditation process) for approval to offer credits to social workers in Michigan. The course was approved in July, 2007 to offer 40 credit hours for participants who complete both weekends.

The “Adventures in Excellence Seminars” are designed for individual personal growth and to raise emotional intelligence. The course content is appropriate for all levels of Social Work Practice.

The next “Adventures in Excellence Seminars” will be held October 19-21 and November 16-18, 2007 in Granc Blanc, Michigan at the Genesys Conference Center. For complete registration and social worker continuing education information go to http://www.excellence-training.org or call 810-735-7850.
