New Art Gallery Opens at The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati

[Cincinnati, Ohio – September 13, 2007] The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Art Gallery, located on the first floor of the school at 8845 Governor’s Hill Dr., Suite 100, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45249. A grand opening event, which is open at no charge to the public, will be held on September 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Works of art by thirteen faculty members will be on display. This inaugural exhibition continues through November.

The grand opening event will begin with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a reception. Guests will be able to tour the current exhibit, enjoy live music by the Seedy Seeds, and enjoy refreshments catered by The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati’s Culinary Arts program students and instructors. In keeping with The Art Institute’s mission of education, faculty members and other staff will be available to answer questions for the visitors.

Creativity is the ultimate experience at The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati and its new Art Gallery. The grand opening event is intended to provide an opportunity for the local community, business professionals and art enthusiasts to visit a new and exciting Art Gallery, get a taste of the inspiring programs at The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati, and experience the innovative interpretation of the school’s faculty artists.

In addition to faculty shows, the new gallery will feature the works of students, graduates and various professional artists related to the school’s programs, including Graphic Design, Web Design and Interactive Media, Interior Design, Fashion Merchandising, Video Production and Culinary Arts.

The gallery provides a great opportunity for artists to express themselves and exhibit their work, and The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati is committed to offering a rich and diverse experience to the school community as well as the greater metropolitan area. The goals of the gallery are to inspire and challenge students through examples of accomplished artists, to enrich the learning community through exhibitions of the high excellence, to provide opportunities to increase public awareness of The Art Institute of Ohio - Cincinnati and its importance in the art community, and to expose the local community to relevant faculty, student and professional work.

The gallery is located on the first floor of The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati and is open at no charge to the public. The gallery’s normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., closed Sunday and holidays. The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati will mount four shows each year in the gallery.
