The Rys Chronicles, a four-book epic fantasy by Tracy Falbe of Chico, California, has received another positive review. The third book in the series, Judgment Rising, that was released in trade paperback this May was reviewed by the Midwest Book Review for its September 2007 issue of Small Press Bookwatch.

The review stated that Judgment Rising: The Rys Chronicles Book III was "An absorbing, intricately detailed adventure that seizes and holds the reader's attention to the very last page."

This positive review followed the good reviews for the first two fantasy books of the series that came out in January 2006. Vivianne Crystal of CrystalReviews.com called Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I "a great read with plenty of intrigue, magic, terror, wizardry, spells, and subplots to grip the reader…pure plot-driven action and fantasy!" And when the Midwest Book Review assessed Union of Renegades and the second book, The Goddess Queen, it declared that "Author Tracy Falbe makes a stunning debut in epic fantasy."

Such positive praise has been greatly encouraging to the author who produced her work in trade paperback and multiple ebook formats through her company Falbe Publishing under the fantasy imprint Brave Luck Books ™. In addition to positive reviews from professionals, Falbe also receives occasional praise from readers who send her emails. Her readers come from all over the world, including her native United States.

"One woman in South Africa sent me an email to say that I was a really excellent fiction writer," Falbe said. "That was a nice surprise. I'd never even thought about someone in South Africa looking at my work."

People from all over the world discover Falbe because the first book of The Rys Chronicles is a free fantasy ebook at http://www.braveluck.com.

"It's easy for fantasy readers to give me a chance. They can look at Book I for free and go from there if they want to," Falbe explained. "I know people can be hesitant to try out a new author, so I've removed the barrier of money."

The fourth and final book The Borderlands of Power: The Rys Chronicles Book IV was just released in trade paperback in August 2007.

"It's great to have my series completely published. Now readers who like my story can get into it and not have to wait between books," Falbe said. "I was really scrambling earlier this year to get Books III and IV into production because readers were emailing me asking for them."

Now that The Rys Chronicles series is complete, Falbe will be returning her attention to writing more fiction in fantasy settings.
