VoIP Affiliate Program Launches at 5PCom

(PRLEAP.COM) September 17, 2007 - The VoIP services provider announced on Friday, September 14, 2007 that their new affiliate program is officially live, after working through some minor technical glitches late last week. 5PCom, as a company, is a relative newcomer on the scene. However, it’s executives and technical staff are comprised of VoIP and Broadband technology industry veterans that have been active in the market since VoIP’s inception, over 10 years ago.

The VoIP services industry is expecting to quadruple by 2010 according to F. Douglas, 5PCom’s founder and CEO. “There is plenty of marketshare now and in the years to come…we intend to reward our affiliate partners generously for helping us establish 5PCom as a market leader”

Like many VoIP Providers, 5PCom is sharing revenue with a “bounty” commission system. At this time, the bounty for every referred customer will be equal to the monthly price of the referred plan. However, commissions are paid for the first billing cycle after the customer receives their 30 day free trial period.

When asked how 5PCom’s affiliate program “measures up” to the other VoIP affiliate programs out there, Douglas had this to say:

“Other VoIP providers are offering potentially higher, even outrageous commissions and bonuses to their affiliates. Undoubtedly, while tempting, those economics are not sustainable, and we have seen fallout with companies like Vonage (who discontinued their affiliate program at one point), and the (now defunct) Sunrocket and Allo scandals…

…5PCom is not a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ company. Our policies and financial management will ensure that we are not only sustainable, but profitable. As that foothold in the market continues to strengthen, undoubtedly our affiliate commission structure will become increasingly generous. For the moment, we believe our program offers solid, fair, reasonable, and sustainable rewards for our marketing partners with a long-term view toward success.”
