Pixelmetrix To Receive EMMY Award: Monitoring for Compliance Standards for ATSC & DVB

September 19, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Singapore, September 19, 2007 – Pixelmetrix, the global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television and IPTV networks, will be awarded an Engineering & Technical EMMY Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) for its DVStation Transport Stream Analysis products. The award will be presented at the Annual Engineering & Technology Emmy Awards during the CES show in January 2008.

The award defines the automated compliance testing to the multi-channel transport stream standards as defined by the DVB and ATSC. Pixelmetrix DVStation provides automatic confidence-checking and reporting functionality without the need for an operator to verify program transport quality by visual QC or other manual measurement methods. The DVStations are deployed to monitor MPEG transport streams and measure parameters against standardized conformance specifications.

“We are thrilled to receive this honour from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Our DVStation product line has turned in a strong showing over the years, and this esteemed recognition certainly adds prestige to our myriad of Test & Measurement solutions,” said Danny Wilson, Pixelmetrix President & CEO.

Pixelmetrix DVStation product line is widely used in broadcast television networks, cable and satellite program providers, satellite teleports, mobile truck uplinks, digital television stations and various other satellite facilities worldwide. Networks, distribution channels and terrestrial DTV stations benefit from Pixelmetrix technology by being able to assess the quality and integrity of their broadcast content.

Pixelmetrix develops a host of IPTV and Preventive Monitoring systems that offer unique attributes and versatility, allowing operators to achieve end-to-end visibility and keep tabs on their network architecture.
