New Joint Venture Helps Preserve Family Histories

(PRLEAP.COM) Now, with the power of the Internet and American StoryKeeper network of professional story keepers, the wisdom of our most experienced citizens can be preserved and shared 24/7. Each year in the United States, hundreds of thousands of people over the age of 65 die. Certainly, loved ones feel the loss most deeply, but everyone suffers when the wisdom of our most experienced citizens is lost.

To address just this problem and ensure that everyone can learn from our valued, elderly citizens, LifeLenz.com and American StoryKeepers LLC (ASK), are teaming up on a joint venture designed to preserve the life stories of our most valued citizens.

By combining forces, the two organizations can offer an online venue at LifeLenz.com where American StoryKeepers’ national network of audio biographers can help people preserve and share the stories of their cherished older family members. The joint venture will use the LifeLenz.com Internet platform to share and store millions of interactive family archives captured by a national network of ASK professional story keepers. Family archives, which allow people to share, build, and celebrate their history, values and traditions can include audio biographies, photo albums, video clips, and written narratives.

Dennis Stack, President and Founder of American StoryKeepers, LLC says, “When my mother was suffering from Alzheimer’s, I wanted an easy, affordable way to save her story. I didn’t find anything, so I created my own. AmericanStory Keepers is the result.”

According to Stack, the American StoryKeepers process as simple as sitting down, sharing a cup of coffee, and telling stories.

Stack again: “I am constantly amazed at the extraordinary stories I hear from seemingly ordinary people. Everyone has a story to tell. Our story keepers ask the questions and listen to the answers.”

Now, the joint venture with LifeLenz.com allows families to share their stories on the Internet 24/7 with a worldwide audience, or control access to friends and family only. Families who work with an ASK professional will also have access to LifeLenz.com’s free tools that allow them to establish blogs and email accounts, set up chat rooms and instant messaging options, and form clubs to make interacting with their family members easy.

The ASK mission is “Preserve the Past, Enrich the Present and Strengthen the Future of Families.” Now, with its joint venture with LifeLenz.com, accomplishing that mission just got a whole lot easier.
