ATLANTA, GA, Sept 19, 2007 — John Mark Karr today announced launch of a personal website, johnmarkkarrnow.com, for the purpose of memorializing JonBenét Ramsey and to interact personally with the general public.

"The decision to launch a website required a very significant commitment in light of the public perception. I intend to openly and honestly address all public concerns in a civilized venue”, said Karr. “I would like to present a better understanding of myself directly to those interested in knowing."

Designed and managed entirely by Karr, johnmarkkarrnow.com currently features a blog, photos, informational links and a public forum. Visitors may view conversations and have the option for anonymous registration to participate in discussion in the public forum.

“It is my wish to offer a memorial to a child I loved dearly”, said Karr. In an opening statement on the website’s homepage, Karr expresses, "I wish, with all my heart, to reach out to her family – their hopes for closure seemingly dashed but with such potential for restoration. Closure is a complete understanding of those things that were once a mystery and the chance to focus forgiveness on the one who takes responsibility for the most unfortunate tragedy."

An upcoming initiative surrounds a special section that will feature a unique approach dedicated to preventing harm to children by sexual predators. Karr believes consequences for sexual predators are absolutely necessary but always come too late, after the irreversible damage to a child has been done - prevention is key. Additional features for the website also include plans for selected presentations from the unpublished manuscript entitled “Daxis” – one of the key elements that led to Karr’s 2006 arrest for the murder of JonBenét Ramsey.
