Seminar Helps Vietnam Hotels Achieve Online Success

(PRLEAP.COM) HCMC, 20 September 2007 – With as many as 33% of all hotel bookings being made via the internet, a strong online presence is vital for today’s hoteliers. Next month, a seminar will take place in Ho Chi Minh City designed to help the region’s hotels improve the quality of their websites and increase the volume of their online bookings.

The seminar – Boosting Revenue with your Hotel Website – takes place at the Sheraton Saigon on 10th October. During the event, experts from TRG International, GenaRes Asia and Amadeus Vietnam will share advice on website design, getting the most from domestic booking channels, and using a web booking engine to increase their online revenue.

“The combination of increasing tourism and a shortage of rooms means that this is a boom time for Vietnam’s hoteliers” said Tim Russell, TRG International’s Marketing Director and one of the speakers at the event. “However, far too many Vietnamese hotels have poorly-designed websites or no website at all, and even some of those that do have good sites haven’t implemented web booking engines and are still relying on email, fax and telephone. Our event will show them how to design a booker-friendly site; how to make it easier for tour operators, travel agents and corporate clients to book their hotel; and how using a web booking engine can vastly increase their productivity.”

The event is aimed at General Managers and Sales/Marketing Directors from hotels in southern Vietnam, and TRG intends to run the event in the northern and central regions later this year.
