Designing the Perfect Looking Website!

Design is one of the most important things in a successful website. Website should always be designed with the target audience in mind, not a persons personal preferences!

Here are some design concepts and many options.

1) Website should be easy to read.

Text and background colors must be choosen very carefully. Backgrounds that obscure text or colors that are hard to read must never be used. Dark-colored text on a light-colored background is easier to read than light-colored text on a dark-colored background.

Too small text size is hard to read or too large text will appear shouting at visitors. Again all capitalized letters should be avoided where ever possible.

The text alignment of main text should be to the left, not centered. Make visitors comfortable with what they are reading, and most text (in the West) is left aligned.

2) Website should be easy to navigate.

All hyperlinks should be clear to visitors. Graphic images, such as buttons or tabs, should be clearly labeled and easy to read. Website designer must select the colors & graphics very carefully.

3) Website should be fast loading

There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for a web site to download, then giving up and moving on to another? Most web users lose their attention after 10 seconds. If a website takes longer than this to load, it'll be losing many visitors. This means that the web designer must use images sparingly and choose file formats carefully. The use of flash should also be restricted to only where its required most.
