New Squiz (Free!) Seminar, London, October 25th: Best Practices in Web Site Management - Design for Web 2.0

(PRLEAP.COM) Squiz today announced the latest in its range of ‘Best Practice’ seminars. On Thursday 25th October, the company will deliver an exclusive briefing on ‘web design for Web 2.0’ at London’s Adam Street members club,

The session will demonstrate how leading Squiz clients such as Kessings, The Royal College of Nursing and Informa are using Squiz’s open source Content Management System (CMS), MySource Matrix, to transform their online presence and successfully engage users.

The seminar is designed to appeal to marketing and IT professionals, as well as corporate webmasters who are looking to understand and implement web 2.0 concepts for their own organisation. Critical topics such as ceding control of content to users will be covered - from the perspective of both web management and business value.

As such, the session will provide an insider’s view on how companies can use a CMS to cost-effectively handle the many opportunities of the web today - opportunities such as web standards, accessibility, SEO, dynamic content, rich media, RSS feeds, blogs and more

As part of the discussion, Squiz will demonstrate the new version (v3.16) of MySource Matrix, the enterprise class web content management system which provides users with the tools and platform they need to :

* …deliver content to drive action
* …maximise web sites to meet business objectives
* …reduce web site production costs and overheads
* …publish new content more rapidly
* …gain more control and flexibility in their overall production processes

Attendance, like Squiz’s open source CMS, is FREE, and people wishing to attend may register via Squiz’s website, at: http://www.squiz.co.uk/web_design_seminar

The event will take place on the morning of October 25th at the Adam Street private members club in Charing Cross, London, and will run from 9.30am through to 12.30pm.

About Squiz
Squiz helps some of the UK’s leading organisations to gain more control of their web sites and intranets. For example, Oxford University, The Royal College of Nursing and Future Publishing all use Squiz’s MySource Matrix Content Management System to manage the publication of their websites and intranets. In doing so they’re saving money, improving the services they’re delivering to users, and gaining more control of their web development. We develop MySource Matrix as an open source product and then provides support services around it to help our clients get more value from their web spend. We’re kind of like the Red Hat of the CMS world. Our approach is successful because of the strength of our CMS and our experience in diverse fields. We’re also cost-effective because being open source, MySource Matrix costs nothing to acquire or use.
