ORICK, Calif. – Sept. 23, 2007 – Redwood Parks Lodge Company, Inc. held the dedication ceremony and open house for its recently renovated Elk Meadow Cabins at Redwood Adventures Village, dedicatory events the company called “wildly successful.”

Held last Saturday, September 15 on a gloriously sunny fall afternoon, Redwood Parks Lodge Co. played host to a crowd estimated at between 250 and 300 who flocked to the emerging recreational lodging hub in the northern California town of Orick for the four-hour festivities.

During the afternoon events guests were able to
• tour four of the six 1,200- square foot, 3-bedroom luxury cabins (the two others in use by out-of-town guests),
• chow down on grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and other complementary barbeque goodies,
• listen to “live” bluegrass music,
• watch free screenings of the Lady Bird Johnson Memorial Hikes video, and
• chat with guest of honor, Robert Conrad, the actor, director, producer and Golden Globe nominee who is probably most known for his starring role in the 1960s hit television series, “Wild, Wild West.”

“What a wonderful day in the redwoods,” said John “Johnny Redwood” Russavage, president and CEO of Redwood Parks Lodge Co. “We had more than 250 guests come celebrate the official opening of our Elk Meadow Cabins and get a chance to meet our guest of honor, Mr. Robert Conrad, a true gentleman and a Hollywood star recognized and loved around the world. All in all, it was a wildly successful afternoon.”

During the dedication ceremonies, Conrad was presented with a two-foot-long key to Redwood Adventures Village carved redwood. Additionally, Russavage and a number of the company executives and representatives addressed the audience, including David Lasko, an Emmy Award winning video producer and new board member of the company.

In addition to his participation as the guest of honor at the open house/dedication ceremonies, Conrad was also feted the night before at a private dinner for company shareholders and executives held at the Ingomar Club, a private dining club at the historic Carson Mansion in Eureka, California. Guests at the dinner also saw the premiere of the company’s first corporate video, a video that featured the voiceover work of Conrad and the videography of Lasko.
