On October 26th through October 28th, the Forney sisters will slip on their most comfortable shoes and take part in the 60-mile, Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center is happy to announce that Drs. David Kleiman and Anthony Evangelista have agreed to sponsor the "Forney Sole Sisters" in their effort to raise awareness and funds for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

During each day of the 3-day walk, the Forney sisters will walk 20 miles. Their motivation is simple: to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Drs. Kleiman and Evangelista have already made a sizeable donation to the Forney sisters' cause, and also plan to provide them with breast cancer awareness t-shirts to wear during their fundraising efforts and the walk itself. "The Breast Cancer 3-Day is one of the most important breast cancer fundraisers of the year. We're thrilled that Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center has the chance to participate," stated Dr. Evangelista.

With over 30 years combined experience in vision correction, Drs.Kleiman and Evangelista have a long history of promoting health and quality of life. "At Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center, we see everyday how LASIK and restored vision can be a life-changing event. That's why we know finding a cure for breast cancer - something that can be life-threatening - would be an enormous victory for the Forney sisters, as well as thousands of other individuals worldwide," said Dr. Kleiman. "That's a cause worth supporting," he added.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a national event that is taking place from August through November in a number of cities. The "Forney Sole Sisters" will be participating in Dallas. The event is expected to raise millions of dollars in 2007 to help fund breast cancer research and education. For more information, please visit http://the3day.org
