Gray, TN – Bailey Computing Technologies, Inc. (BCTI), Eastern Tennessee’s premier provider of IT business solutions, expands its training staff with the addition of Ann Tarleton, PhD.

“Ann’s vast experience in computer training and education, combined with her outgoing personality, makes her a wonderful addition to our team,” said Chase Boles, President of BCTI. Tarleton will be teaching Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and QuickBooks for BCTI, the region’s only Microsoft Gold Learning Solutions Partner.

Tarleton’s background in education and her natural teaching abilities have made her an outstanding instructor. She earned her undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University, her MEd at McNeese State University, and her doctorate from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. While working at the Texas Department of Health, Tarleton developed and instructed a series of PowerPoint classes for beginning and intermediate users. “This was when I realized I had a knack for teaching software classes that produced skills and satisfied students,” said Tarleton. “From that successful series, I moved on to teach other Microsoft programs in a business college setting.”

Tarleton also uses her array of computer knowledge and training skills as a volunteer. She served as an academic advisor in associate degree programs for accounting and fitness technology. Tarleton has been a guest speaker or instructor in 7 states, sharing her techniques on how to make effective PowerPoint presentations for non-profit organizations, community colleges, universities, government agencies, and municipal leaders.
