CRS-39 Agenda Takes Shape

(Nashville, Tennessee - October 1st, 2007) The CRB, Inc ® continues to release information relating to the 2008 Country Radio Seminar (CRS-39), set for March 5-7, 2008 at the Nashville Convention Center.

On Thursday Morning (March 6, 2008) at 9:00AM is "The Power of Business In Español" with Jose Cancela. Following up on the Edison Research study presented at CRS-38 on the relationship between Hispanic and Country radio, this panel will examine the growing Hispanic demographic, debunk Hispanic stereotypes, and offer tips on marketing and programming to the Hispanic listener.

Valerie Geller will then moderate the "Morning Show Marvels." Geller, author of Creating Powerful Radio (Getting, Keeping, and Growing Audiences) will discuss morning radio with drive-time winners Gerry House (WSIX-FM, Nashville), Big D & Bubba (Premiere Radio Networks), and Todd Pettengill (The Scott and Todd Show/ WPLJ, New York).

Tristan Coopersmith of CAA, The Intelligence Group, will present "Marketing to Gen X and Gen Y" on Thursday afternoon at 2:00PM. Coopersmith will profile the crucial 14-39 demographic and explain the best way to reach them in a shifting technological landscape.

On Friday, March 7th, Valerie Geller returns at 10:00AM for "Creating Powerful Radio - Never Lose A Listener." She will demonstrate actionable suggestions for creating compelling content.

CRS-39 is loaded with educational opportunities with two early panels on March 5, seventeen panels on Thursday, March 6, and fifteen on Friday, March 7. In addition, there are three luncheons (sponsored by Curb/Asylum, Sony BMG, and Capitol Nashville) and two acoustic songwriter performances (KCRS Live presented by ASCAP and WCRS Live sponsored by BMI and Country Aircheck).

Evening events include the Music City Jam (sponsored by the ACM and United Stations Radio Network), the Wildhorse Saloon showcase and the New Faces of Country Music ® Dinner and Show (sponsored by R&R and CMA).
