Chantilly, VA — American Systems Corporation (ASC), one of the largest locally based federal contractors in the D.C. area, announced today that it has appointed William C. Hoover, President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 27, 2005.

A well-known and respected executive in the information systems and services sector, Mr. Hoover brings more than 25 years experience in managing growth, building shareholder value and leading dynamic organizational change. He formerly held positions as President & Chief Operating Officer of Dynamics Research Corporation; President & Chief Operating Officer of PRC, Inc.; and Executive Vice President of BDM International.

Mr. Hoover is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, attended the University of Michigan’s Executive Management Program, and resides in McLean, Virginia with his family. Mr. Hoover has been active in various professional and civic organizations including ITAA, Electronics Industry Association, AFCEA, Leukemia Society of America and Marymount University Business School Board of Advisors among other organizations.
