AIR KENYA MAKES HISTORY AND TAKES EAST AFRICAN TRAVEL ONLINE

(PRLEAP.COM) Air Kenya (www.airkenya.com), the largest regional airline in Kenya, announced today to have broken an all time company record of over 15,000 online reservations after just nine months of online operations. Air Kenya is the first and only regional airline in East Africa to offer real time availability and online booking of flights and safari packages, including E-ticketing, real time confirmation and an advanced customer privacy policy to protect credit card information and prevent identity theft.

Air Kenya is operating a fleet of modern aircrafts, each with two turboprop engines and a crew of two pilots. These aircrafts (DeHavilland Dash 8, Dash 7 and Dash 6 Twin Otter) are capable of flying at heights of up to 25,000 feet and cruise at speeds of up to 270 miles an hour, putting destinations such as Lamu, Malindi, Mara, Kilimanjaro and Mombasa within easy reach with flight times of just over one hour, which coupled with a 45 minute check-in time makes for a relaxed and enjoyable trip.

Air Kenya’s sister company, Regional Air Services, also announced today the launch of a new website (www.regionaltanzania.com) that offers similar online booking services to all destinations in Tanzania. Regional Air Services is based in Arusha, Tanzania, and provides scheduled flights to Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Seronera, Grumeti, Sasakwa, Kleins Camp, as well as seasonal flights to Ndutu and Kogatende.
