RE/MAX Unified Brokers, a Macomb-based real estate office, recently won the "Highest Average Transactions Per Associate" award among RE/MAX offices in the St. Louis Region. The award was for 2006 sales.

With its four agents — Gene Curtis, Nick Curtis, Becky Peabody, and Thelma Smiddy — the office averaged 51 transactions per agent in 2006, highest among any of the 88 St. Louis Region’s other RE/MAX firms. The office also won the award last year, when it averaged 55 transactions per associate for sales during 2005.

"Transactions per sales associate — that is, how many families an agent helps in a year to buy or sell a home — is probably the most meaningful measure of how effectively a real estate office is serving its clients," said Tess Hill, regional vice president of RE/MAX of St. Louis. "Fifty-five transactions per associate is a phenomenal statistic. That is about five times the average closed by a typical member of the National Association of Realtors. We are very proud of RE/MAX Unified Brokers and the quality service they provide in the Macomb market."

"The main focus of our business is to serve our clients," said Gene Curtis, owner of RE/MAX Unified Brokers. "They are the reason this award is possible. Our real estate team is all full-time and this award is a reflection of that effort."

RE/MAX Unified Brokers, Inc., in operation since 1993, helps people buy and sell homes, lots, farms, hunting ground, and commercial properties in west-central Illinois. The office’s website is http://www.remax-unified-macomb-il.com
