Medicexchange has entered into partnership with Vivalog Technologies in a first step to providing a world class educational resource for medical imaging professionals on the Medicexchange.com medical imaging portal.

The agreement with Vivalog will allow Medicexchange to use information from Vivalog's MyPACS.net extensive repository of approximately 70,000 clinical images, which have been contributed by radiologists from around the world.

With Medicexchange's new educational channel launching early next year, the MyPACS.net cases will initially be used within the Medicexchange educational quiz, 'Who wants to be an expert radiologist?' (www.radchallenge.com) which will be showcased at RSNA 2007.

Adam Boyse, Medicexchange's CEO, says: "Medicexchange continues to partner with the best providers in the industry. Our visitors will benefit from access to the world class educational resources of MyPACS.net and I'm pleased to be working with Vivalog Technologies. This, along with our recent launch of the largest online medical imaging jobs channel, shows we are delivering on our objective of 'everything imaging, all in one place'."

Vivalog Technologies Rex Jakobovits says: "We appreciate the wider exposure this will bring to the MyPACS.net community, where thousands of radiologists are freely sharing cases with the world. When we first launched MyPACS in 1999, we had no idea that it would grow into such a phenomenon. People were skeptical of the idea that radiologists would post cases, but now there are 16,000 cases online, with hundreds more being submitted every month.

"We are now getting over 150,000 visits a month from radiologists and other physicians who use MyPACS to look up example images of diseases for training and diagnostic decision support. There are a lot of good cases in the collection, and Medicexchange will be featuring some of the best."
