Noted Designer and Living Large Radio Host Karen Mills Agrees to Design Celebrity Wreath for Heartland Habitat for Humanity’s 2007 American Dream Gala

(PRLEAP.COM) As part of the auction for their “Doorways to the Future” 2007 American Dream gala, Heartland Habitat for Humanity asked nationally known designer and radio host Karen Mills along with other celebrities including Martina McBride to design and donate door wreaths for the gala’s auction. This event was recently held on September 22nd to celebrate Habitat for Humanity’s 20th anniversary of building homes in Wyandotte, Johnson and Leavenworth counties.

The “Doorways to the Future” 2007 American Dream Gala was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Jack Reardon Center where celebrity wreaths were displayed on recycled Habitat Restore doors. For her door wreath, Mills personally designed a stunning wall pocket decoration using elements of nature. Besides designing interiors and hosting Living Large, Mills also writes for a national home magazine, speaks professionally and designs home décor items.
