13 Ugly Men Selected For Prestigious Annual Award From Voices for Children

October 11, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Voices for Children will recognize the 13 Ugly Men’s dedication and devotion to children in the Tampa Bay community at the 6th Annual Champion for Children Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel at International Plaza.

The Champion for Children fundraising event was created to recognize outstanding members of the community who make a positive difference in the lives of children - helping them grow up to be happy and healthy adults. This award is given once a year to a person(s) who stands out for having gone that extra mile for the rights of children, helping to ensure their safety and well being.

“The 13 Ugly Men are committed to inviting leaders in our community to join them in their philanthropical efforts – especially when it benefits children in need,” says Lisa Semeyn, Executive Director of Voices for Children, “That is why this year we are honored to present the 13 Ugly Men with the Champion for Children Award for being ‘kings’ in our community and opening their hearts to children less fortunate.”
The 13 Ugly Men will accept the Champion for Children award one week prior to their most-attended event of the year, the Halloween Freakshow. This year’s 10th annual party will take Halloween to a whole new level with bizarre decorations, twisted entertainment, a costume contest with cash prizes, a VIP lounge, and 2 DJs. The proceeds will benefit A Gift for Adoption. The party takes place on Friday, October 26th from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at Club Underground.
