NEW YORK, NY – October 12, 2007… Wilspro Management is proud to announce that emerging NYC based rock ‘n’ roll band, BAND OF THIEVES are receiving 5 + spins a week in Chicago area markets. MTV has also taken a liking to BAND OF THIEVES as well by placing two songs from their current EP in two separate episodes of The Hills this season.

CHR HOT station Z107 Program Director Don Clark started playing BAND OF THIEVES in the morning hours and kept getting an “immense amount” of requests for the song “Woman”, which then shifted to midday airplay. Additionally, Tom Lounges of 103.9 X-Rock has now also begun to spin tracks by BAND OF THIEVES. The band plans on performing in Chicago this fall to follow up their radio success.

“Woman” and “Hey Hey” were both featured in recent episodes of The Hills. “Woman” is also set to air in A&E’s Parking Wars this Winter, a new show based in the streets of Philadelphia, PA.

The formation of Band of Thieves was many years in the making, five men destined to meet in the fall of 2006 in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Tyler Rann (singer) left college to write and perform with Midtown, traveling to stages and studios all over America, Europe, Australia and Japan. As musical differences set him on his own, his path collided with Gitano Herrera (lead guitar). Rann and Herrera began writing songs that invoked the classic sounds, songs that triumph the good times that rock and roll has always stood for. Anthony Riscica (drums), Leigh Nelson (bass), and Peter Smith (rhythm guitar) round out the group and have already performed for thousands of people.

BAND OF THIEVES have performed at venues that include Webster Hall, Bowery Ballroom, Gramercy Theater (NYC), Harper’s Ferry (Boston), and Middle East (Boston), and with artists such as Marc Ford (The Black Crowes) and Lez Zeppelin. This winter will see the band cruise to Mexico with southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Drive By Truckers and many more. Check their myspace page for tour updates.
