ORLANDO, Florida (October 12, 2007) — The Masters Conference, an educational conference staffed with well-respected and knowledgeable experts in the legal profession, announced that Ronald J. Hedges will speak about how the recent amendments to the FRCP have led the states and other organizations to consider whether and how to address discovery of electronically stored information. Hedges will present during lunch on Friday, October 26th. For more information on all speakers and sessions for The Masters Conference: E-Landscape and the FRCP Fallout, scheduled October 25-26, 2007, at the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington DC, visit www.themastersconference.com.

Ronald Hedges is a member of Nixon Peabody’s business litigation practice group. He has extensive experience in e-discovery and in management of complex civil litigation matters. Hedges was appointed in 1986 as a United States Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, where he served as the Compliance Judge for the Court Mediation Program, a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee, and both a member and a reporter for the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Committee. From 2001 to 2005, he was a member of the Advisory Group of Magistrate Judges. Hedges also has been an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law since 1993 and at Georgetown University Law Center since 2006.

During last year’s The Masters Conference: E-Practice in the Electronic Age, more than 200 attendees learned from industry experts as to what might happen once the new rules took effect.

This year’s Masters Conference will draw from industry experts and consultants to provide a forum of discussion that addresses the new reality. Being 'litigation-ready' now requires due diligence on the part of attorneys and litigation support directors alike.

“The Masters Conference is very pleased to have Ronald Hedges as keynote speaker during our conference. His extensive experience with the FRCP and knowledge of the states responses to the changes will provide excellent educational content for all attendees,” stated Lindsay Couch, Executive Conference Director, The Masters Conference.
