Water Coolers Direct have recently launched a range of Domestic Water Filters the range is intended to reflect the growing tend of UK householders who are asking the company for more advanced filtration solutions for the home. The new range of filters will include an under sink water filter and undersink chiller, a reverse osmosis system, replacement fridge filters and water softeners.

Formed in March 2004 as a reaction to onerous water cooler rental contracts Water Coolers Direct offers the option of buying the water coolers outright. Since inception the company has sold over 4,500 coolers to over 7,000 UK based customers leading to the company becoming a market leader in just 3½ years. Fred Cairns Palmer, Managing Director, WaterCoolersDirect.com Ltd said, "When attempting to source water systems that are appropriate for the home environment, customers are being led down the bottled cooler route, which has significant cost implications over the domestic filter options available. In addition to this we have found that many home customers have requirements outside the norm such as the need for Reverse Osmosis or Water Softeners."

The company have developed / sourced a range of undersink filter products ideal for customers who have no room to situate a water cooler or who want to avoid the costs and hassles associated with bottled water delivery.

Water Softener
Water Softeners prevent the build up of scale in a houses pipes and appliances by removing the magnesium and calcium from the water supply. Water softeners work by passing the incoming water through a tank of ion exchange resin. The resin traps all the magnesium and calcium that creates lime scale and leaves the soft water to enter your water system. The resin within the machine will require periodic cleaning, this is done by passing salt water through the resin which swaps places with the magnesium and calcium and allows the trapped minerals to be flushed away.

The new Water Coolers Direct water softener is suitable for houses with up to 4 bedrooms, the system regenerates on a timer making the maintenance of the unit minimal, even so the unit is capable of showing the homeowner the following benefits:

Save more than 30% on your heating bills
Less maintenance on all water appliances
Protect your pipes from being clogged up completely

Triflow and Dedicated Taps
Common to many of the above products including the Undersink Chiller and Filter and the Reveres Osmosis system the company has sourced a range of affordable Triflow and Dedicated Taps.

Martin Booth, Sales Director, WaterCoolersDirect.com Ltd said; "We are excited about the taps that we can now offer the domestic market. For some time now we have been surprised by the cost of this type of product when they are offered alongside a fitted kitchen by the major retailers. The truth is that tap filters don’t need to be expensive and can start for under £100."
